We have a great many choices in what we feed our dogs. Everyone has their preferred method of feeding from processed dog food to raw vegetables. From what I have seen almost all of these methods work well, and I recommend choosing the one that suits you best. We feed a combination of dry kibble and raw chicken and vegetables, and some semi-cooked pork or beef. Each of our dogs vary in what things they will eat or not, so dry kibble is the basis of our dogs' diets. Feed what works for your dog, no one way seems to be better than another.

PLEASE NOTE: We switch our puppies to an adult dog food at three months old, since some foods are too rich in nutrients, causing too rapid growth of the skeleton. The adult food provides everything that your puppy needs in a more moderately balanced recipe.
TOOTH CLEANER & WHITENER We feed RAW chicken necks to keep teeth clean. THE CHICKEN MUST BE RAW. Cooked bones become brittle and can splinter. I feed two or three RAW chicken necks two or three times a week. The tiny neck bones clean the tartar from even really dirty teeth, and it is much cheaper (and safer) than going to the veterianian and having your dog go under anesthesia, or the stress of tartar removal without it.. I use chicken backs if I cannot get the necks. Feed the chicken every other day if the teeth are really bad, and watch to see improvement and snow white teeth. Lengthen the time between feeding the chicken necks that keeps the teeth clean. Usually, once or twice a week.
