Denim
is a wonderful Collie.
He is sweet and considerate,
quiet in the house and always ready to
go for a walk or a ride.
He gets along well with all
his dog family and the cats, too.

I vary where Denim sleeps at night,
sometimes by my bed, sometimes in a crate,
or in another room.  I do this so he won't cry
if I need to crate him at night.  I found that if I
let all the dogs all sleep in the bedroom, we
can't walk because they
lie all around the bed!

Denim likes to get his own toys out of what we call 'the dog bag'.
It is just an old nylon camera bag where we keep leashes, a brush,
treats and toys for training classes.

At first he would dig everything out of the bag,
but I would get up and put back everything but the toys.
Now he will dig and dig in it until he gets out only the toys - all of the toys,
but only toys.  He doesn't take the other things out anymore and it is funny to
watch how hard he works getting the toys out of the bottom of the  bag.

Sometimes, he will work for five or ten
minutes getting all the toys out.
This is our Denim - he has grown
into a beautiful Collie.

Denim won the
