Grooming Table I groom my dogs on the floor, lying on their sides, when I am doing regular weekly grooming at home.. But, this table is neccessary at the show ring, and can be used at home if you like. It can be purchased with an arm to tie the dog to while grooming. Your dog will actually learn to lie on his side while you groom him on one of these tables.

Pin Brush This brush is without a doubt the best brush to use on your Collie. It lifts & separates the coat. The longer the bristles on this type of brush the better... you will be able to reach down to the skin. It will not scratch your dog's skin.
Combs There are many combs on the market. Wide toothed ones work best on the Collie coat. Some have handles and some do not, either is fine. Use the comb, behind the ears, leg feathers, and belly hair to separate it well. I use a comb to "double-check" my grooming.
Nail Trimmer The nail trimmer should be used if your dog's nails grow too long. You can do this yourself or your vet can do this for you, if you like, and some pet stores offer this service.
